Don't know how, but I got a virus...win32.vitro....nasty, nasty piece of work. I have to use a different computer for awhile. Don't want to format other computer until I know if I can save ANY of my important files. I don't want to infect this computer!

Was hoping to webcam with 2 of my grandsons in another state this weekend. Wanted to webcam with a great niece, it was her 3rd birthday today...Happy Birthday Camryn!

It's just beautiful outside today, the air is warm, no wind...unheard around here. I really think spring might be finally here!!! If we get a couple of days like this ALL the snow left, will be gone and all the mud. Then I can do some yard work. I have a few new flowers to plant. I can hardly wait to get started!!!

Didn't have internet for awhile...that sucked :( Then my computer decided to not work properly. Ran out of room on my hard drive, could be why the computer was acting goofy. Got 2 new hard drives and my oldest son built me a second computer!!! My youngest son bought a new computer and gave me his old monitor, it's a 19" widescreen, I love it :) Finally got my laptop to connect to the internet...not telling that story here!
I went to babysit for my youngest daughter Feb 12th thru the 15th in North Dakota. Had a Great time with my grandsons. Was going to stay with my sister for a day and night then come home, got snowed in...was there a little over 2 weeks. NEVER go to North Dakota in Feb or March!!! Probably not April either...lol They got a LOT of snow this year! We got a lot of snow here to this year, but not nearly as much as North Dakota.
I'm still working on scrapbooks. My website is a mess, broken links, pages not showing up...been trying to get that all fixed. I'm WAY behind in some of the pages for My Family Special Occasion pages, need to get those done!

I excited now...this is the second of my 4 blog's that I've found in the last few hours. Can you believe it? I lost 4 blogs in cyberspace, yep...I would start a blog, forget where it was and start another one. After I lost the 4th one, I just kinda gave up! You can check out the blog I found earlier, called Purpleunicorn's Web Journal ...it was actually the first one I made, this is the second. What's kinda cool is, I wasn't LOOKING, I just kinda stumble on them...pretty cool :) Hummm...now I wonder where 3 & 4 are? If anyone out there ever reads this and you happen to see a Blog that looks abandoned by me...lol
Now I think I just made a little work for myself, from NO blogs to 2...now that I've found them I should probably start using them again.
I started my first blog as kinda of a place to put new/updated pages for my web site Purpleunicorn's Palace
When I started this one, I had no real idea what it would be for. It ended up just stuff about me and my life... :) Mostly, just me rambling on about nothing!!!
So, I think I'll keep to that plan for the most part.
I don't play Sims anymore, I ran out of room on all my drives. :( I need more, bigger drives then maybe I can play again :) That is if I can find some time for it...lol
I've been scrapbooking. My little sister got me started doing it, and I just love it. I wanted to make my oldest daughter a scrapbook for Christmas last year. Her 2 children, (when they were little) destroyed almost all of her photographs. So I thought she would really like a scrapbook, hopefully with a lot of the pictures she didn't have anymore. The first thing I did was ask everyone in my family if they had any pictures of her and/or her kids. I got lots & lots of pictures, some she had never even seen before. To make a VERY long story short, I haven't finished the scrapbook yet, but I did give it to her for Christmas. I got it done up to age 5 for her. I'm still making pages and add them as I get them done. She loved it, so much she cried. I'm doing the scrapbook for her, from her birth till now, so I have a ways to go yet. :)
Then the next thing that happened because of me asking family for pictures, I got the bright idea to get Everyone's pictures...ALL their pictures. Scan them, sort them by person, put them in folders and burn them to DVD. So, when all done Everyone in the family will have a DVD of ALL the pictures everyone has. The most important ones are the old pictures of when my Mom was little, when me & my brothers and sister where little. I'm Not doing this alone, I enlisted the help of my Mom and my sister. We spent a couple of weeks a the Lake cabin last summer scanning pictures. We had 3 computers and 3 scanners, scanning... We split the scans up between the 3 of us and over the winter we were suppose to, cut the scans apart, and name the pictures. This spring and summer, we will sort the hopefully finished pictures to folders and burn them to DVD's. I don't think any of us realized when we started this project, how big of a job it would be. My Mom came from a big family 4 brothers, 2 sisters. I have 5 brothers and a 1 sister. Of most of us have kids, and some of our kids have kids...Whew!!! Can't ya just see ALL those pictures!!!
Of course some of us (I will raise my hand here) didn't take a Whole lot of pictures of our families. While others of us, (Jolene (raise your hand) Mandi (raise it!) the others who did this YOU know who you are(raise them up high!) took pictures of practically EVERY second of their families lives.
We found some wonderful pictures of Great Great Great Grandparents (shhh! some of the kids don't even know this yet!) A few pictures that my Mom has no idea WHO they are, she knows their family, just not who(she cant remember, well she's 70), anyone who could tell us...is gone now. :( I still think it's possible someone might know, maybe an Aunt, Uncle, cousin...ya just never know. :)
Then my Mom's SO decided he'd like to do the same thing for his kids! He has mostly slides, so he purchased a scanner that scans slides and negatives, I got to do those. Man, did he have a lot of slides!!! I got them done in just a little under a month, not bad when you consider the scanner scanned 4 slides at a time. I think there was just over a 1000 slides! I didn't even count the negatives I did. I was just thankful when they were done. I don't EVER want to see another negative again! Thank goodness for digital cameras :)

Well I think I've bored Anyone who might visit this blog long enough, and holy crap! it almost 4 in the morning...better get some sleep!!!

Wow, it's been OVER a month since I last posted here :( I'm pretty sure no one reads this blog except me, so I guess that doesn't really matter. I have been playing Sims 2. Yes, I got totally carried away...again. Right now, I can't play, well I could...but it's too slow. I put so many downloads in the game it takes a half hour for the game to load. I need more memory! So, I'm going to hold off on getting the memory...until I caught up on real life things!!!
BAD BAD me!!!
I'm way behind in updating my web pages. I had a NEW granddaughter born on December 22, she was 6 weeks early, she's still in the hospital...but she's doing just fine now and should be coming home next week!!! She's beautiful, her name is Sky and I will post some pictures soon :)
Thanksgiving was NOT good.
Christmas was GREAT!
Now today is New Years Eve...looks like it will be a VERY quiet evening for me. I don't make New Years resolutions anymore, but if I did...it would be to post at least 1 blog everyday in 2007! Think I'll put a stickie note on my monitor!!!

Well I did it, I put The Sims on my computer. I've only spent 1 1/2 hours playing...so that's good! This is going to be very short tonight. I've been up since 5:00am and I can hardly stay awake anymore so...I'm going to bed. Good night. :)

Ok...I''ll Think of Something to Write!

I'm still trying to get my computer organized. I have 3 hard drives now! One 300gig I will be using for storage and backups. 1 60gig I am putting most programs I install on. My main drive is a 120gig, I hope to keep very few programs on, only ones that have to be on the main drive. Since I make a lot of web pages, I have many, many floppies and Cd's full of graphics. On the old computer they were all on my 60gig storage drive. I started to run out of room and put them all on floppies then Cd's. I also use PSP 6-7-8-9 and have over 600 floppies with tubes on them. What I'm trying to do is organize everything I have collected and made, get rid of any duplicates and put them ALL back on my computer...or on Cd's again, but organized so I can find things I need quickly.
Still, NO Sims :( Maybe I should take a break, and just put The Sims on here! Not a very good idea, if you knew me. I was VERY addicted to that game. Usually I played at least 20 hours a day, sometimes longer. I also have over 500 Cd's full of Sims stuff, that's how bad I had it. I spent a lot of time downloading things for that game. I KNOW I downloaded somethings several times, but it was easier to download it again, then to try and find it on the Cd's I had made. Maybe it won't be like that again, maybe I can control myself...yeah Right. I'm actually scared to put that darn game on my computer again. When I got the game, my life was Not going to well. I could be anyone and do anything I wanted in the game. It was almost as if I was living in the game. I was happy when I was playing, and very unhappy when I wasn't. I'm happier now, I don't NEED an alternate reality to live in.
Well, it sure looks like I thought of something to write about. :)

Veteran's Day

Veteran's Day has a very special meaning to me. I had 4 Uncle's that served in World War II, my Dad was career Navy and served in Vietnam. They are all gone now, so I like to pray for and say a BIG thanks to all the service men & women serving our country, especially on Veteran's Day.

Well...I'm not playing Sims yet. :( I still don't have my new computer set up exactly how I want it, so...NO Sims until I do. I did burn my very 1st DVD tonight! I was so excited, I put it in the DVD player and it actually worked!!! It didn't take very long either, about an hour. Now I want to do more. I have over 4,000 movies I recorded on VHS...I'd like to convert them to DVD. Not sure when I'll get to it, but I will!
It was a beautiful day here today. Very odd for November in South Dakota. Tomorrow it's supposed to be even warmer, around 80. It's Jovan & Gammie day tomorrow which is cool, we will be able to go to the park...Yea!!! I hope it's just as nice on Wednesday for Jordan & Gammie day! Both boys love to go to the park. I finally got a new digital camera, so I will be taking a bunch of pictures...I will post a few here. Then I hope it's Still nice on Thursday...I haven't mowed my lawn yet. Good thing it's been cold enough for it not to be still growing, it would probably be 5 feet tall!
Now, before I leave...I have a small Rant. We have a lot of deer around here this year. Well it seems like we always have a lot this time of year. There were at least 6 dead deer laying along the road to town yesterday. That's only the ones I saw. My younger son stopped by to pick up a few things last night, he only stayed for a few minutes. 10 minutes later, I get a call, he'd hit a deer. He was OK, but his truck is NOT. My granddaughter was over doing some homework on my computer. I took her home about 15 minutes after I heard my son hit the deer. I sure was NOT looking forward to driving to town, but I never saw any...thank goodness. Oh, the Rant!!! We have way to many deer around here!!! They need to let hunters, get more tags per person, or have a longer hunting season!!!
I better go, I think I'll have an early night...and actually go to bed. :)

OMG!!! It's Been a Week+ 1 Day :(

I got a NEW computer, a week ago!!! You'd think I would have been working on my web site, surfing, downloading, and blogging up a storm. Well, the computer is 1 month old, I bought it from my brother(got a VERY good deal). It needed to be re-formatted, windows reinstalled, my preferred programs added(still working on that), files I had moved to my E drive(from old computer) needed to be sorted/cleaned put back on C drive(the ones I kept)...I had tons and tons of junk!!!
My old computer was a 800GHz Dell, the new computer is a 2.2 GHz Everex. I loved my Dell, but my new computer is MUCH faster. I can add lots more memory if I want! My old Dell had the most I could have in it 512MB.
I was a Sims freak for a long time, still like to play, just don't a much as I used to. I got the Sims Deluxe for Christmas 1 year. Then I bought ALL the expansion packs! Two of my nephews were really into playing the Sims too. They only had the Sims. I let them use my Sims Deluxe, and gave them all my expansion packs...I didn't think I'd play anymore! Well I was dead wrong, shortly after giving away my expansion packs, I wanted to play again. So I went and bought ALL the expansion packs again!!! Idiot...shortly after the Sims 2 was released. I bought the Sims2 right after it came out, wouldn't work on my old Dell :) I bought the Sims2 even though I couldn't play it. Thinking someday I'll have a Good graphics card and I can play. I let another nephew use the Sims 2, I never got it back!!!
I think I want to try the Sims again!!!

OK, I don't know what I'm doing...but eventually I will figure it out! I was trying to change the font colors for this blog, I had managed to change a few. After spending around 4 hours working on it, then I found a Help page that explained...exactly how. Boy, do I feel like an idiot. Someday, I will fix it Right...so everything matches nice. :) I've lost interest now.

So then I decided to try to network 2 computers. I already have 2 sharing a Internet connection, but I want to be able to share files and the printer on both. This time I searched the Internet, read everything I could find...printed some too. Now I can see the other connection on both computers, but I if I on computer 1...I can't see any files on computer 2 or vice versa. Needless to say can't see the printer on computer 2 either :(
I guess I'll keep trying...goodness knows I have Nothing else to do...LOL!!!

List of Things to do:
finish web pages (add to ALL lists...Never ending)
do some housework (put on tomorrow's list)
do more laundry (done)
buy cat food (cat is still eating tuna)

Hi...It's Me :) I'm Early!

Trying a different tactic today, post early! Yeah that may work. :) Show confidence, act confident. Don't let anyone know, that your pretty sure this won't work either. :) This will be short today...no really, don't laugh. :) I've got hundreds of things to do, I can't spend too much time here. Maybe I need to add a time limit, on my things to do list for each task. Hum mm...I will write several time limits on scraps of paper, throw them in a hat. OK, this could REALLY work...I'm pretty excited about this new idea now. :) So if I use this method with today's list, let's see what we get.

List of Things to do:
finish web pages (add to ALL lists...Never ending)
15 minutes - no, that will never do (put back draw again) 10 minutes - Don't even know what to say.
do some housework (put on tomorrow's list)
8 hours - Now just a minute here, this is NOT working out how I thought it would.
do more laundry (washed socks, feet warm)
5 hours - I don't even HAVE that many clothes!
buy cat food (cat is eating tuna)
20 minutes - Wonder if that would include the 10 minutes it will take to get to town :(
sleep (put on tomorrow's list)
30 minutes - Now this makes some sense, from NONE to 30 minutes!
mow the lawn (BEFORE it snows!!!)
4 hours - This is a conspiracy. I don't have that much lawn either.
walk the dog (he's getting fat, will do this tomorrow...for sure)
6 hours - This is NOT going to happen...this Was a DUMB idea :(

This experiment failed. Back to the drawing board!!!
I'm outta here.

Guess I better just get the idea out of my head, that I'm going to post everyday! Just don't see that happening...yet :) I've been working on my web site. Updating, adding NEW pages, fixing things. I get so involved working on them I sometimes; forget the time, even what day it is and I forget to eat...a lot!!! I would also say I forget to sleep, but I can't remember what that is...lol. The NOT eating doesn't really bother Me, long as I have several cans of Diet Pepsi on hand...I'm good for at least a week. :) The hardly any sleep catches up with me after awhile, then I need to sleep for a long time. I can still stay up for 24 to 36 hours with no sleep, but I sure pay for it later! That's a sure sign I'm getting old.
I had to take a small break this evening. I ran out of Diet Pepsi, and cigs...OH NO!!! There isn't really a store here where I live, the lounge/restaurant does sell a few things, but I went to the grocery store in a town 9 miles away...cheaper anyway. Of course that's where my Grandkids live!!! So...I had to stop and see them. :) Only the younger 2 though, the 2 older ones were not at home. I played with Jordan and Jovan for about an hour. Then I came back home and started working again.
As you can see I'm not really working right now, since I'm writing in my blog. My eyes where getting tired of looking at HTML code, they needed a break!

finish converting cassette tapes CD's (tired of this, almost done, started with 500...have 50 left to do)

start grocery list for Thanksgiving dinner (give this job to Mandi, she loves to make lists)
sleep (put on tomorrow's list)

Hummm...maybe I need a class in priorities!!!
Guess I better quit fooling around before I write a small novel here.

Wednesday...ALL Ready!!!

I can't believe it's Wednesday...all ready! So much for posting Everyday. :(
Of course Monday & Tuesday were Great days!!! My daughter Mandi and her 2 sons came over on Monday evening...and stayed until VERY early this morning. We had a VERY good time :) That's the main reason I haven't posted. The boys...Jordan (almost 2) and Jovan (1) love playing on my computer. Everytime someone is at the keyboard they want to play or help! The only problem with them helping is, they don't spell very well yet :) Plus they want to type what they want...NOT what anybody else wants.
I just love spending time with them. They are So cool at this age, they learn new things everyday and they learn so quick. I believe Jordan will be making web pages by the time he is 3. :) He learned yesterday to click on things with the mouse, before he mostly just banged on the keys. Jovan is still just banging on keys, and tries to eat the mouse. They love to see pictures, on the computer screen of themselves, family members, and of my dog(Ace) and Ace's cat(Porky). They also like to go to web sites with interactive games, stories and music. They both love music! Jordan has a keyboard at my house that I picked up at a garage sale. They both play with that a lot. Jordan is using both hands now to play the keys. He looks like he really knows what he's doing.
I guess I should have named this blog All About My Grandkids!!!

My First Post :)

Just wanted to test this out!
Today is Sunday, Sundays are boring days for me:(
Of course most days are like that for me. I live alone with my dog (Ace) and a cat(Porky). I'm on my computer most of the time! I get very few visitors and fewer phone calls.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best...I have each of my youngest grandsons on those days. Tuesday is Jovan day! Jovan is 1, the youngest son of my youngest daughter(Mandi). Wednesday is Jordan day! Jordan will be 2 on November 16th, he is Mandi's oldest son. Here is a picture of them!

We have a lot of fun, they both like to play games on my computer. Their favorite is a keyboard banger called Hopping Frogs...we call it Happy Frogs!!! We also play cars, color, bulid forts, play cook, and watch cartoons. Jordan and I like to go to the park on nice days, and play in the sand box. His Mom hates it when we do, she doesn't like Jordan to get dirty!!! Oh well Mom...to bad :) Jovan can't play in the sand box yet, he likes to eat the sand...we did try!
My oldest daughter(Michelle) has 2 children also, a 16 year old daughter Miranda and a 14 year old son Garret. I see them a lot too, but we don't have special days anymore, as teenagers...they are WAY to busy to hang with Grandma for a WHOLE day...lol!
